Versant is a wealth management firm serving individuals and multi-generational families with a holistic approach. Our work goes beyond wealth planning and investment portfolio management; we integrate tax planning, estate and legacy planning, liquidity and exit planning, family governance and education, risk management, lifestyle support, and more.

Versant interns gain exposure to how these services come together to support families over generations.

What You’ll Do

As a paid Versant intern, you’ll work alongside client-facing professionals and be involved in real projects that support client service, planning, and investment processes. After orientation, you’ll be immersed in on-the-job learning that allows you to see how work moves from idea to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service Exposure

• Assist with gathering, organizing, and synthesizing client data.
• Support financial planning activities, including scenario modeling and plan development.
• Help prepare client materials, reports, and presentations.
• Observe and support the client service process from beginning to end.

Analytical & Research Support

• Participate in research projects related to investments, financial planning, tax, and estate planning.
• Analyze data and apply findings to real-world planning and investment questions.
• Develop an understanding of how research supports advisor decision-making.

Technical Training & Skill Development

• Participate in internal training sessions and hands-on exercises.
• Build foundational knowledge across key areas of wealth management, including investment portfolio design and strategies, entity and ownership structures, income tax basics, and estate planning concepts.

Markets & Investments Exposure

• Gain exposure to market developments and the investment decision-making process.
• Learn how portfolios are structured, monitored, and evaluated.
• Develop insight into how investment ideas are developed and reviewed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking intellectually curious, driven students who are eager to learn, contribute, and build a strong foundation in the wealth management and multi-family office space.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student status in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance and a genuine interest in wealth management and financial markets.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, boutique firm environment.
