Phone/Counter Help

Overview

Looking for someone to run counter and answer phones. Take orders. Toast POS system experience helpful .Can work weekends as well as some days. Normally 4pm-7pm. Need to be able to deal with customers and be good on phone.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with food orders at the counter or over the phone, ensuring quick and accurate service
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions, food orders, and cash handling efficiently
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
• Prepare simple food items following food safety standards and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean workspace throughout your shift
• Manage food service customer order processing, including taking orders, entering data into POS systems, and coordinating with kitchen staff
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation tasks as needed
• Maintain organized work areas, ensure proper sanitation practices, and adhere to all food safety regulations to deliver quality service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash register operations preferred
• Proven ability in food handling, sanitation, and safety management within a restaurant or café setting
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records
• Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills to engage positively with diverse customers
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow proper food safety procedures
• Food industry experience including serving, cashiering, or retail sales transactions is a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
