Phonics teacher

• Deliver Systematic Lessons: Teach letter-sound relationships, blending, segmenting, digraphs, and long/short vowels following a structured scope and sequence.
• Build Phonemic Awareness: Guide students in listening for, identifying, and manipulating individual sounds in spoken words before matching them to print.
• Demonstrate Clear Pronunciation: Model accurate phoneme production and mouth formations so students learn proper articulation.
• Use Engaging Tools: Incorporate multisensory aids like flashcards, props, interactive games, and digital or physical storybooks to maintain student focus.
• Track Reading Progress: Regularly assess student decoding accuracy, reading pace, and fluency to spot struggling readers early.
• Adapt Instruction: Modify pacing and teaching strategies to meet the unique learning needs of individual children or small groups.
• Support Literacy Milestones: Transition students from isolated sound drills to reading simple sentences and leveled texts with confidence
• Design Lesson Materials: Create or select worksheets, activity slides, and practice drills aligned with the curriculum.
• Partner with Stakeholders: Communicate regularly with parents, primary classroom teachers, and reading specialists to align literacy goals across home and school
