About the Role

Huskky Photography is looking for a creative and passionate Wedding Photographer who can capture emotions, people and celebrations through strong visual storytelling.

We are looking for someone who understands that wedding photography is not just about taking technically good photographs — it is about anticipating moments and creating timeless memories for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture candid, traditional and creative wedding photographs
• Cover weddings, receptions, engagements, pre-weddings and other wedding-related events
• Capture important rituals, emotions, family moments and details without missing key moments
• Create strong bride & groom portraits and couple portraits
• Confidently handle family and group photographs
• Understand wedding timelines and anticipate important moments
• Work effectively in different lighting situations including indoor venues, outdoor ceremonies and low-light receptions
• Coordinate closely with cinematographers, traditional photographers and the production team
• Follow the company's photography style and creative direction
• Communicate professionally with clients and family members during events
• Handle cameras, lenses, lighting equipment and accessories responsibly
• Properly transfer, organise and hand over shoot data after every event
• Maintain strict care regarding memory cards, backups and client data
• Be available to travel for weddings and destination assignments when required

Technical Skills

The candidate should have strong knowledge of:

• DSLR / Mirrorless camera systems
• Manual exposure and camera settings
• Composition and framing
• Natural-light photography
• Flash photography
• Low-light photography
• On-camera / off-camera lighting
• Prime and zoom lens selection
• Candid photography
• Traditional wedding coverage
• Couple portraits
• Group posing and family photographs
• Basic understanding of Lightroom / Photoshop is an advantage

What We're Looking For

Portfolio matters more than qualification.

The ideal candidate should:

• Have 1–3+ years of wedding/event photography experience
• Have a strong wedding photography portfolio
• Have a good eye for emotions and storytelling
• Understand South Indian wedding ceremonies and important rituals, or be willing to learn them quickly
• Be comfortable working in fast-moving wedding environments
• Be punctual and highly responsible
• Have good communication and people-handling skills
• Work well as part of a photography + cinematography team
• Be physically comfortable with long wedding assignments
• Be flexible to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays depending on wedding schedules
• Be willing to travel for assignments
