Join a high-performance team driving cutting-edge measurement devices in the domain of high-speed digital and optical from prototypes to mature production. Take ownership to implement adjustment- and verification-routines for these instruments. It starts in strong collaboration with R&D during the development phase by characterizing key components and defining the test strategy for these instruments and leads to a stable production test software solution implemented in C#, based on our own test software platform.

This role is critical to support R&D and the manufacturing team for efficient new product introduction by creating best-in-class test processes for new measurement devices, identifying and applying new technologies and processes and providing automatized test solutions on the way to ensure stable production of high-end measurement devices meeting the requirements and expectations of customers.

The current job opening focuses on the domain Photonics represented by Keysight products like Tunable Laser, Power Meter, Attenuator, Polarization Controller, Lightwave Component Analyzer, Optical Modulation Analyzer, Optical Spectrum Analyzer.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of procedures to adjust and verify the performance of high-end measurement devices applying knowledge and experience with RF / Fiber-optical / Photonics measurements. This includes defining and implementing test setups/stations, concepts, test procedures.
  • Test Software Implementation: Automation of test procedures in an in-house, C# based test platform environment.
  • Support R&D in design for testability
  • Support R&D in automatized characterization of key components and early prototypes
  • Validation of verification and adjustments procedures.
  • Technical Expertise: Give advice to management on strategies regarding Photonics / Fiber-optical / RF metrology.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure implementation of test processes is suitable for a production environment.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for the test procedures.
  • Communication: Interface and collaboration with international teams in R&D and manufacturing.
