Role: PHP Developer (Product Engineer)

We build directory portals, marketplaces, CRM m

odules and SaaS platforms (Justdial / IndiaMART / UrbanClap / Shaadi-style products) for startups.

You will own modules end-to-end, from requirements and system design to API, UI, deployment and post-launch fixes. You will think like a cofounder and build automations and Agentic AI systems that run in production.

You will get to see first hand how some code can make thousands of websites run together, where each of those websites can have thousands or millions of users parallely.

Experience: 1+ years in PHP product development

Salary: Up to 5 LPA (CTC), based on experience and selection performance

Location: Hyderabad (on-site)

• 2+ Big projects (or 8 -10 small to mid) with real users, such as a directory, marketplace, CRM/ERP module or booking/lead system.
• Role-based access (admin/vendor/customer) with dashboards.
• A REST API you designed and documented, used by a front-end, mobile app or third party.
• 3+ live third-party integrations (payments, SMS/WhatsApp/email, Maps, OAuth, webhooks).
• One live-system performance, data or security problem you diagnosed and fixed.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (EVERY LINE ITEM BELOW IS A MUST)

• Backend: PHP 7.4/8.x (OOP, MVC, Composer, PSR, cron), plus CodeIgniter or Laravel in production. Perfex CRM or Brilliant Directories experience is a strong plus.
• MySQL: schema/ERD design, indexing, EXPLAIN-based tuning, transactions, migrations, large listing and search datasets.
• APIs: REST design and integration (JWT/OAuth2, pagination, versioning, rate limiting, webhooks). Postman collections, environments, test scripts, mock servers and published docs; Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Frontend: Bootstrap, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3. Responsive, filter-heavy UIs (search, maps, dashboards), with UI/UX built around the user's goal.
• Performance: caching (Redis/Memcached), query tuning, page speed, SEO basics.
• AI and automation: LLM API integration (Claude/OpenAI) with structured outputs and retries; Cursor/Claude Code with spec-first workflows; ability to design and ship agentic systems with guardrails.
• Product Thinking, Design Thinking & Architectural Thinking
• Professional: Clear written and spoken English. Well-groomed.
• Ownership and Accountability: you give a deadline and own it.
• Most importantly, hardworking. Startup pace, real ownership, real deadlines.

What You Will Do

• Ship features and modules end-to-end, spec first.
• Build REST APIs and integrations with a Postman collection and docs for each.
• Check your work yourself. Deliver quality work, every time, guaranteed.
• Meet Stakeholders. Present your plan. Brainstorm with team/stakeholders.
• Build production-grade automations and AI agents that cut manual work.
• Fix production issues fast, with root-cause notes.
• Work directly with founders and clients on business outcomes, not just tickets.
