PHP Developer

We are seeking a PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications and backend systems. This role involves building scalable solutions, developing APIs, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable software products.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in PHP development, modern frameworks, database design, and software engineering best practices, with a passion for building robust and scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and application components.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and manage database schemas, queries, and data structures.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement security best practices and ensure application compliance standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and system specifications.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PHP application development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development principles.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel ecosystem, Livewire, or similar modern frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience working in SaaS, E-commerce, FinTech, Healthcare, or Enterprise application environments.
