About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, web development technologies, and backend programming. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and optimizing dynamic websites, web applications, and database-driven systems.

The candidate should be passionate about writing clean, secure, and maintainable code, solving technical problems, and collaborating with designers and other developers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic websites and web applications using PHP.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Design, manage, and optimize MySQL databases and queries.
• Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX to build interactive web interfaces.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Maintain and customize existing PHP-based websites, CMS platforms, and web applications.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical errors.
• Implement security best practices to protect applications and user data.
• Ensure responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and website performance.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, frontend developers, and project managers.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Test, deploy, and maintain applications in development and production environments.
• Stay updated with modern PHP frameworks, development practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and third-party API integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of website security, authentication, authorization, and input validation.
• Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel or another modern PHP framework.
• Familiarity with WordPress, OpenCart, or other PHP-based CMS/e-commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of MVC architecture and software development best practices.
• Experience with Linux hosting, cPanel, Apache/Nginx, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with Composer, npm, and package management.
• Understanding of caching, website performance optimization, and basic SEO requirements.
