PHP Developer — Email Infrastructure & Deliverability

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with at least 3 years of professional development experience to support the development and maintenance of our web platforms, internal systems, and email infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong PHP development skills and practical experience working with email servers, SMTP infrastructure, bulk email platforms, and email delivery systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve PHP-based web applications and internal systems.
• Work with existing PHP codebases, APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and system integrations.
• Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of email infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot SMTP servers and email delivery workflows.
• Monitor email delivery performance, including:
• Delivery rates
• Bounce rates
• Open and click rates
• Spam complaints
• Domain and IP reputation
• Analyze email campaign and infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Work with DNS and email authentication records, including:
• SPF
• DKIM
• DMARC
• MX records
• Support integrations between PHP applications, CRM systems, email platforms, and third-party APIs.
• Investigate deliverability issues and assist with maintaining healthy sending infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional PHP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Experience working with REST APIs and backend integrations.
• Good understanding of Linux/server environments.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
• SMTP
• Email servers
• DNS
• SPF
• DKIM
• DMARC
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret system and campaign data.
• Experience working with large datasets or reporting/analytics dashboards is an advantage.

Experience managing or building high-volume email sending infrastructure would be a particularly strong indicator.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is not only able to write PHP code, but also understands how the surrounding infrastructure works.

A strong candidate should be comfortable investigating questions such as:

• Why are emails bouncing?
• Why has delivery performance dropped?
• Is the problem coming from PHP, SMTP, DNS, the sending IP, or the email provider?
• How should sending traffic be distributed?
• How can campaign and delivery data be analyzed to improve performance?
• How can PHP applications communicate reliably with email and CRM infrastructure?

You should be comfortable learning existing systems, identifying technical problems, and proposing practical solutions.

Experience Level

3+ years of relevant professional experience

Candidates with a combination of PHP development + email infrastructure + analytics experience will receive priority consideration.

Pay: Rs88,317.10 - Rs156,945.06 per month
