About the Role

We are looking for a motivated PHP / Yii2 Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using PHP and Yii2 Framework.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of PHP, MVC architecture, databases, REST APIs, JavaScript, and web application development. The candidate should also have good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Yii2 Framework.

• Understand existing application code and implement new features and enhancements.

• Follow MVC architecture and Yii2 development best practices.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs.

• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable PHP code.

• Work with databases such as MySQL and write optimized SQL queries.

• Perform CRUD operations and database-related development.

• Develop frontend functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.

• Integrate third-party APIs and services when required.

• Debug and resolve application issues and bugs.

• Perform unit testing and basic application testing.

• Work with Git/GitHub for source-code management.

• Work closely with senior developers, QA, and project managers to complete assigned tasks.

• Participate in code reviews and follow project coding standards.

• Assist in troubleshooting development and production issues.

• Learn and adapt to new technologies and development practices.

  Required Skills Qualifications

  PHP Yii2

• 1 2 years of hands-on experience in PHP development.

• Good knowledge of Yii2 Framework.

• Understanding of MVC architecture.

• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Understanding of PHP sessions, cookies, validation, and error handling.

• Ability to work with existing PHP/Yii2 applications.

  Database

• Good knowledge of MySQL.

• Strong understanding of SQL queries.

• Experience with:

• SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE

• JOINs

• Subqueries

• GROUP BY / ORDER BY

• Indexes and basic query optimization

• Understanding of database relationships and normalization.

  Frontend

• Basic to good knowledge of:

• HTML5

• CSS3

• JavaScript

• jQuery

• Bootstrap

• AJAX

  API Development

• Basic experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.

• Good understanding of JSON.

• Understanding of HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.

• Basic understanding of API authentication and security.

  Tools Development Environment

• Basic experience with Git/GitHub.

• Familiarity with Linux development environments is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Composer and package management.

• Basic knowledge of Apache/Nginx is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Docker is an advantage.

  Good to Have

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience with Redis or caching.

• Experience with third-party API integrations.

• Basic knowledge of AWS services.

• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 or JWT.

• Experience with Bootstrap-based UI development.

• Knowledge of modern PHP versions and coding standards.

  Experience

• 1 2 years of professional experience in PHP web application development.

• Candidates with hands-on experience in Yii2 Framework will be preferred.

  Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
