PHP/Laravel Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated PHP/Laravel Developer with at least 2 years of professional experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel, a good understanding of web application development, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs.
• Work with databases such as MySQL and optimize queries when required.
• Develop and maintain Laravel-based backend systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA engineers, and project managers.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and other security best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write and maintain technical documentation when required.
• Stay updated with the latest Laravel, PHP, and web development trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 years of professional experience in PHP/Laravel development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, MVC architecture, and OOP concepts.
• Good experience with MySQL and relational database design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab and version control workflows.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Laravel Sanctum, Passport, or JWT.
• Knowledge of Laravel features such as Eloquent ORM, Middleware, Migrations, Queues, Jobs, Events, and Notifications.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Good to Have

• Experience with Vue.js, React, or another modern frontend framework.
• Familiarity with Redis, caching, and queue systems.
• Experience with Docker and deployment environments.
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing using PHPUnit or Pest.
• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
