Salary: PHP 75,000–PHP 100,000 package, depending on relevant Inpatient Coding experience and tenure — fixed and non-negotiable

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder – QA Specialist to support coding quality and accuracy within a healthcare operations environment. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on Inpatient Coding expertise with experience in coding audit and quality assurance.

The role requires a professional with recent clinical or hospital experience who can review inpatient coding work, identify coding discrepancies, provide actionable feedback, and ensure compliance with applicable coding standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits and reviews of Inpatient Coding records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Validate the accuracy of diagnoses, procedures, documentation, and code assignment.
• Identify coding errors, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide detailed and constructive feedback to Inpatient Coders.
• Support coding quality initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement programs.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring coding errors and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure coding practices are aligned with applicable coding guidelines, policies, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with Coding, Quality, Operations, and other stakeholders to resolve coding-related issues.
• Assist with quality calibration sessions and coding-related discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings and quality results.
• Stay current with changes in coding guidelines, standards, and industry practices.
• Meet established quality, productivity, and turnaround-time requirements.
• Perform other coding quality and audit responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Inpatient Coding experience.
• At least 1 year of recent Inpatient Coding Audit/QA experience.
• At least 1 year of recent and relevant clinical or hospital experience.
• Strong knowledge of Inpatient Coding, including diagnosis and procedure coding.
• Strong understanding of applicable coding guidelines and documentation requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify coding discrepancies and provide clear, actionable feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a non-voice environment.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule.
• Willing to work under a temporary WFH arrangement and report to the assigned site as required.

License Requirement

• Active PHRN license or relevant Medical Allied professional license, as applicable to the candidate's background.

Required Certification / Credentials

At least one of the following certifications is required:

• CCS – Certified Coding Specialist
• CPC – Certified Professional Coder
• CIC – Certified Inpatient Coder

Certification must demonstrate relevant Inpatient Coding competency.

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
