Physical Design CAD Support Engineer

Physical Design CAD Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Physical Design CAD Support Engineer to support and improve the design flows used for advanced semiconductor development.

In this role, you will work closely with Physical Design and Silicon Engineering teams to troubleshoot complex design-flow issues, support EDA tools, drive automation initiatives, and improve overall design productivity.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Design implementation and signoff flows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tool and methodology issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term solutions.
• Support and optimize EDA environments and CAD infrastructure.
• Develop automation using TCL, Python, and Linux scripting.
• Collaborate with design teams and EDA vendors to improve flow stability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Physical Design, CAD Engineering, or EDA tool support.
• Strong experience with:

Synopsys Fusion Compiler

Synopsys PrimeTime

Cadence Innovus

Siemens Calibre

Solid understanding of Physical Design flows, timing closure, and physical verification.

Strong TCL, Python, and Linux scripting skills.

Experience troubleshooting complex EDA tool and design-flow issues.

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced-node technologies (7nm, 5nm, 3nm, or below).
• Knowledge of low-power design methodologies and physical verification flows.
• Experience working with large-scale CAD environments and automation frameworks.
