We work with international customers and technology partners to support complex semiconductor projects from design and verification through implementation, signoff, and tape-out.

As we continue to expand our engineering capability in Vietnam, we are looking for talented and experienced engineers to join our growing team in Ho Chi Minh City.

You Are

You are an engineer who understands that successful semiconductor development requires more than simply running tools or completing isolated tasks.

You understand how your work impacts the overall design flow and can take ownership of technical challenges from analysis through resolution.

Whether your expertise is in frontend design, verification, backend implementation, signoff, power integrity, or custom layout, you are comfortable working with complex designs, advanced technologies, and demanding project requirements.

You are also a strong collaborator who can work effectively across different engineering functions to ensure design quality, performance, reliability, and tape-out readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your area of expertise, you may be involved in:

• Develop and optimize RTL designs for IP and SoC-level applications.
• Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments .
• Develop test plans, assertions, functional coverage, and regression flows.
• Perform DFT implementation, scan insertion, ATPG, MBIST/LBIST , and test coverage analysis.
• Execute floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and physical optimization .
• Drive setup and hold timing closure across multiple modes and corners.
• Perform Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing signoff.
• Analyze IR drop, electromigration, power integrity, and signal integrity .
• Perform and debug DRC, LVS, ERC, antenna checks , and physical verification flows.
• Design and optimize custom IC layouts, memory layouts, standard cell layouts, and FinFET-based layouts .
• Support analog and mixed-signal design implementation and integration.
• Analyze and resolve complex design, timing, verification, and implementation issues.
• Develop and improve automation using TCL, Perl, Python, Shell , or similar scripting languages.
• Support design reviews, ECO implementation, integration activities, signoff, and tape-out preparation.

• Improve design quality by identifying technical risks early in the development cycle.
• Help achieve project targets for performance, power, area, reliability, and manufacturability .
• Reduce design iterations and tape-out risks through strong engineering methodology and debugging capability.
• Improve team productivity through automation, reusable flows, and process optimization.
• Contribute to the development of scalable engineering methodologies across multiple projects and technologies.
• Help strengthen NBIV Semiconductor’s end-to-end IC design capability in Vietnam.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering , or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
• RTL Design
• Design Verification
• DFT
• Physical Design
• Static Timing Analysis
• Power Integrity
• Physical Verification
• Custom / IC Layout
• Memory Layout
• Standard Cell Layout
• FinFET Layout
• Analog / Mixed-Signal Design
• Strong understanding of semiconductor design concepts relevant to your technical area.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA platforms from Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA , or equivalent.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, Shell , or similar is an advantage.
• Experience with advanced process technologies is preferred for relevant positions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering teams.
• Good English communication skills.

The Team You’ll Be Part Of

You will join NBIV Semiconductor’s engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City and work closely with engineers across RTL Design, Design Verification, DFT, Physical Design, STA, Power Integrity, Physical Verification, Custom Layout, and Analog/Mixed-Signal Design .

Our engineering teams collaborate across the IC development flow to support complex semiconductor projects for international customers.

You will have opportunities to work on challenging technical designs, advanced semiconductor technologies, and real-world development programs from design through tape-out.
