Physical Security Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation and management of physical security systems and site security infrastructure.
• Monitor, maintain, and provide operational support for security systems, including access control systems such as Lenel and other related security technologies.
• Assist in implementing and improving physical security solutions to address operational and business requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and areas requiring improvement.
• Support security risk assessments, audits, investigations, and other security-related activities.
• Assist in planning and executing physical security projects, including system upgrades, process improvements, and implementation of new security solutions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, security service providers, contractors, and relevant government agencies on security-related matters.
• Support ISO audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and preparation of relevant security documentation.
• Provide operational and rotational on-call support when required to respond to security incidents or urgent site requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of security procedures, standards, and controls.
• Assist in managing security-related incidents, including investigation, documentation, escalation, and follow-up corrective actions.
• Support the development and improvement of security procedures, work instructions, and emergency response processes.
• Ensure security activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, site requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Perform duties across various areas of the building/site and support other security-related activities as assigned.
• Participate in security awareness activities, drills, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to security operations, incidents, audits, systems, and projects.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Security Management or a related field.
• Knowledge and experience with security systems, such as Lenel or other access management systems.
• IT-savvy with good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business-related platforms.
• Creative, proactive, and passionate about implementing innovative physical security solutions to address business challenges.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment while contributing towards common team goals.
• Willing to provide operational support and participate in a rotational on-call support arrangement.
• Willing to work across various areas within the building/site as required.
• Basic project management skills with exposure to security-related activities, such as ISO audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.
• Experience in liaising and engaging with government agencies or relevant authorities.
• Physically fit, punctual, and able to respond effectively to operational requirements.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
