Physical Therapist Aide

Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist Aide, you’ll help patients and therapists keep rehabilitation sessions organized, safe, and focused. You’ll prepare treatment areas, assist with patient care and transfers as directed, and communicate respectfully with patients and the care team. Your impact: By supporting safe, timely therapy sessions, you help patients participate in rehabilitation and help therapists focus on their care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean treatment spaces and equipment; support patient intake and session flow.
• Assist with rehabilitation care, mobility, manual handling, and patient transfer methods under therapist direction.
• Communicate clearly with clients and staff, follow care instructions, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Use safe body mechanics when assisting with movement or heavy lifting; promptly report concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Support care across physiotherapy settings, which may include inpatient, outpatient, acute, sub-acute, or post-acute services.

Experience

• Patient service experience and experience practicing in a physical therapy role are helpful
• Familiarity with patient care, rehabilitation assistance, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is valuable.
• Interest or experience in orthopedics and geriatrics is welcome. Great position for students looking to learn and gain hands on experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
