Pay: Starting at $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience

Advanced Wellness and Rehabilitation Center is a private outpatient physical therapy practice serving the Tampa Bay area. We specialize in orthopedic and post-operative rehabilitation, providing individualized care to patients with a variety of spine and extremity conditions.

One of the unique aspects of our practice is our close collaboration with in-house spine and extremity orthopedic surgeons, allowing our rehabilitation team to work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals throughout the patient's course of care.

We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistants to join our team at our Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Bloomingdale locations.

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in an outpatient orthopedic environment, values teamwork, and is committed to helping patients return to their daily activities, work, and recreational goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA's scope of practice.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with post-operative and orthopedic rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients regarding their exercises, treatment plans, and appropriate progression of activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physical therapists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and patient-centered approach.
• Follow all applicable state, federal, and facility policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Florida PTA license or eligibility for Florida licensure.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing quality patient care.
