Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and pediatric settings. Duties

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various care settings.
• Perform therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques tailored to patient needs.
• Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress, and home exercise programs.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation within inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy.
• Skilled in clinical assessment documentation and maintaining high standards of medical documentation accuracy.
• Proficiency in medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics; inpatient or acute care experience is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
