Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and patient care will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals in various settings, including outpatient clinics and skilled nursing facilities.

Duties

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients based on their individual care plans.
• Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and rehabilitation techniques to promote recovery.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
• Experience or knowledge in orthopedics, acute care, outpatient settings, or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
• Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A commitment to providing compassionate patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.
• Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program is required.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
