Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while maintaining proper care and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure compliance with medical documentation requirements.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and home care strategies to support ongoing recovery.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and adherence to medical documentation standards.
• Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy and outpatient therapy techniques.
• Experience with inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, home health services, outpatient clinics, or acute care environments.
• Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations.
• Ability to operate medical equipment safely while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless patient transitions.
