Physical Therapist Assistant

Optimize Home Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing home health team.

We are looking for a PTA who enjoys working independently and wants flexibility with their schedule and caseload. You will provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will have flexibility in choosing your availability and the areas you are comfortable covering.

Previous home health experience is helpful, but it is not required. If you are new to home health, we are happy to provide training and help you become comfortable with home health documentation, scheduling, and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with strengthening, balance, gait, transfers, mobility, and functional activities
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner
• Communicate with other members of the home health care team
• Follow the patient's established goals, precautions, and plan of care

Requirements:

• Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel locally to patients' homes
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the supervising PT

New graduates and PTAs without previous home health experience are welcome to apply.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
