Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a respected healthcare team in Salinas, California.

Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help patients improve their strength, mobility, function, and independence through individualized rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
• Monitor patient responses and progress during treatment
• Document treatments accurately in the electronic medical record
• Report changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe mobility techniques
• Use therapeutic equipment and modalities as directed
• Collaborate with therapists and other members of the care team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
• Follow all safety, infection-control, and facility procedures

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license
• At least 1 year of PTA experience
• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Basic computer and electronic medical record proficiency
• Ability to safely assist with moving patients and equipment
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care
