Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, and supporting patient recovery across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise will help improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall patient well-being through compassionate care and skilled interventions.

Duties

• Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to develop and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Perform therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to facilitate recovery.
• Assist in conducting clinical assessments and accurately document patient progress in compliance with clinical documentation standards.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure all treatment records are up-to-date within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, progress, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and engagement.
• Support discharge planning by coordinating care transitions with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Skilled in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management.
• Proficiency in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities.
• Ability to operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients of all ages and collaborating with healthcare professionals across disciplines.
• Experience with discharge planning processes and acute care settings is highly desirable.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
