Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to promote healing and mobility.
• Conduct clinical assessments and document progress accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations using electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress, and discharge planning processes.
• Support discharge planning efforts by assessing patient needs for continued therapy or home care services.
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to physiotherapy practices, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care environments.

Experience

• Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in physical therapy or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
• Experience with physical therapy treatment implementation across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and post-surgical patients.
• Skilled in the operation of medical equipment used in physiotherapy treatments.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including caregivers and healthcare team members.
• Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
• Previous work in home health or outpatient clinics is advantageous; experience with discharge planning is a plus.
