Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and use medical equipment to support recovery goals.
• Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, motivate progress, and address concerns with compassionate care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, ensuring all medical documentation meets regulatory requirements for accuracy and completeness.

Experience

• Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in physical therapy or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related fields to support diverse treatment needs.
• Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation such as manual therapy and physiotherapy techniques.
• Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical terminology essential for accurate record keeping.
• Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy settings and managing electronic health records (EHR).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages—including pediatric and geriatric populations—and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled nursing facility or home health experience is a plus, especially in discharge planning and acute care environments.

Pay: $26.00 - $33.50 per hour
