Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Implement physical therapy treatments such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility.
• Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately following established documentation standards and medical terminology.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper function.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, ensuring all medical documentation complies with regulatory standards.
• Support patient care by providing clear communication, encouragement, and education on therapy exercises and home programs.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities.
• Proficiency in medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management.
• Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions.
• Experience with discharge planning and working within clinical assessment documentation standards is highly desirable.

Pay: $26.73 - $32.20 per hour
