Responsibilities

• Implement various physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate patient care strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress expectations, and home exercise programs to foster engagement and adherence.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and related medical terminology essential for effective therapy delivery.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and adherence to medical documentation standards.
• Skilled in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy interventions.
• Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments within inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, or home health settings.
• Excellent caregiver communication skills to support patient comfort and understanding throughout the treatment process.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans and discharge strategies.
• Prior experience in inpatient or outpatient environments with a focus on acute care or skilled nursing facilities is highly valued.
