What they need
Pelvic Health Physical Therapist - Will Pay for courses for someone that is interested
Flexible Schedule | Per-Visit Compensation | Intimate Outpatient Setting
Physically Fit Physical Therapy (PFPT) is looking for a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our intimate, patient-centered outpatient clinic.
We are looking for a clinician who wants autonomy, flexibility, professional growth, and the ability to provide high-quality care without feeling like they are working in a factory.
Our owner is a treating physical therapist herself and is actively working to create a practice where being a great PT doesn't have to mean sacrificing your personal life.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a Pelvic Health PT who is interested in working morning and/or evening hours.
The schedule is flexible and can be built around the clinician.
You can start part-time and gradually build toward a full treating schedule, with a minimum target of approximately 30 visits per week for a full-time schedule.
You have a say in what your schedule looks like.
We currently offer options ranging from approximately 27 to 60 visits per week, depending on whether you want a lighter part-time schedule or a full-time caseload.
What Does the Schedule REALLY Look Like?
How many patients will I actually see?
You can choose your level of commitment.
- Minimum: approximately 30 visits/week
- Full-time: approximately 55-60 visits/week
- Part-time and full-time options available
- Morning and/or evening availability
- Flexibility to build a schedule that works for you
We don't believe every clinician needs the same schedule.
What Time Do People REALLY Leave?
When you decide to leave.
We aren't interested in keeping clinicians in the clinic just because the clock says they should still be there.
Documentation does not have to be completed immediately after every visit. Our expectation is simply that documentation is completed by the patient's next visit or by the end of the week — whichever comes first.
We care about good documentation.
We also care about your life outside of work.
How Much Documentation Happens at Home?
As little as possible.
Our owner is a treating PT herself, so she understands firsthand how easily physical therapy can turn into a job that follows you home.
We believe work and home life should not blend together.
That means we intentionally utilize technology, systems, and workflows designed to minimize the amount of work that follows you home.
Of course, there may occasionally be something that needs to be finished — but taking documentation home every night should not be the expectation.
What Does "Mentorship" Look Like Six Months In?
Mentorship never stops.
You will work alongside clinicians with significant experience, including:
- Two physical therapists with 13+ years of experience
- A Patient Care Coordinator who is also a PTA, former kinesiology educator, and experienced clinician
- A PTA with 10+ years of clinical experience
We don't believe mentorship should mean someone checks in with you for three months and then disappears.
We are constantly learning from each other.
Our clinicians have different experiences, specialties, perspectives, and approaches — and we believe that makes everyone better.
Clinical education reimbursement is also available as an additional benefit.
What Is Turnover Like?
Our clinical team has been remarkably stable.
Clinicians who have worked here have not left the practice.
We have had one Patient Care Coordinator leave for personal reasons, but we remain in communication with them to this day.
Why Did the Last PT Leave?
There hasn't been a "last PT."
PFPT has been open for 7 years, and we have not had a clinician leave the practice.
We believe that says something about the environment we have intentionally created.
Our clinicians value:
- A flexible, non-rigid schedule
- Autonomy in how they practice
- An intimate outpatient environment
- The ability to actually get to know their patients
- Access to modern technology and treatment tools
- The opportunity to continually improve patient outcomes
- A supportive team environment
- The community we serve
- A practice where the owner is still in the trenches with you
How Does Compensation Work?
Pay is structured on a per-visit basis.
Rather than being paid strictly for your time in the building, your compensation is tied to the care you provide.
This structure gives you the opportunity to make more while working less, depending on how you structure your caseload.
Compensation and additional benefits will be discussed in greater detail during the interview.
What Other Benefits Are Offered?
Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview based on the position and schedule, including opportunities for clinical education and professional development reimbursement.
Who Will LOVE Working Here?
This position may be a great fit for someone who:
- Wants flexibility rather than a rigid 9–5 schedule
- Values autonomy
- Enjoys working in a small, close-knit team
- Wants to build meaningful relationships with patients
- Is passionate about pelvic health
- Enjoys learning from other clinicians
- Wants access to modern treatment technology
- Values work-life balance
- Wants an owner who understands what it is actually like to be a treating PT
Who Might NOT Love Working Here?
We believe in being honest about this too.
This probably isn't the right environment for someone who:
- Doesn't enjoy being part of a team
- Wants to work exclusively during traditional midday hours
- Isn't comfortable working independently at times
- Needs a highly structured, rigid schedule
- Prefers a large hospital or high-volume corporate environment
We are an intimate outpatient clinic, and sometimes you may be working independently. We trust our clinicians to make decisions, manage their patients, and practice with autonomy.
The Bottom Line
We are not looking for someone to simply fill a schedule.
We're looking for a Pelvic Health PT who wants to build a career in a practice that is intentionally designed around both patient care and clinician quality of life.
Our owner is still treating patients, still learning, and still actively looking for ways to make being a physical therapist more sustainable, more fulfilling, and less exhausting.
If you're looking for a place where you can practice autonomously, keep learning, have flexibility, and still have a life outside of physical therapy, we'd love to meet you.
