What they need
Physical Therapist — Join Our Growing Team
Therapy General & Wellness Center is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and flexible Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing team.
We are looking for more than someone who simply checks the boxes of a job description. We are looking for a team player who enjoys working with people, thinking outside the box, and making a real difference in the lives of injured federal employees.
Our practice works with federal employees who are recovering from workplace injuries and need quality rehabilitation, guidance, and support throughout their recovery. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with patients while also collaborating closely with our existing Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and the rest of our team.
What Makes This Position Different?
We believe great therapy is about more than exercises and treatment plans. It's about listening to patients, understanding their challenges, encouraging them through the difficult days, and helping them regain confidence and independence.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Flexible and adaptable — comfortable adjusting to different patients, situations, and environments.
- A team player — willing to collaborate closely with our PT, PTA, and other members of the care team.
- Hands-on and proactive — someone who doesn't mind getting involved and helping wherever needed.
- Patient-focused — genuinely interested in helping people improve their quality of life.
- Comfortable working in the field — willing to participate in patient visits and activities outside of the traditional clinic setting when appropriate.
- Positive and compassionate — able to motivate patients while building strong professional relationships.
- Organized and dependable — capable of managing responsibilities while maintaining excellent patient care.
- Growth-minded — interested in being part of a growing practice and helping us continue to improve the way we serve our patients.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
- Provide physical therapy treatment and monitor patient progress.
- Work collaboratively with our current Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the care team.
- Participate in field-based patient activities and visits when needed.
- Modify treatment approaches based on patient progress and individual needs.
- Educate patients on exercises, recovery strategies, injury prevention, and maintaining progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Help create a positive, supportive environment for both patients and coworkers.
- Be willing to assist the team wherever your skills and expertise can make a difference.
We value professionalism, but we also value kindness, teamwork, flexibility, communication, and a genuine desire to help people.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside an existing therapy team while also taking an active role in helping us grow our services and reach more federal employees who need quality care.
Why Join Us?
At Therapy General & Wellness Center, we're building more than a workplace. We're building a team that believes patients should feel supported, respected, and encouraged throughout their recovery.
If you are looking for an opportunity where your clinical knowledge matters and your personality, teamwork, and willingness to help matter just as much, we'd love to hear from you.
Join our team and help us make a difference — one patient at a time.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the applicable state.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in field-based patient care when needed.
- Experience working with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, or work-related injuries is a plus.
- Experience with federal employees/OWCP is a plus, but not required.
If you're ready to bring your skills, flexibility, and passion for helping people to a team that is growing, we'd love to meet you.
