The position offers flexible scheduling and compensation. Payment can be arranged per patient evaluation or for several hours of work one day per week. The day of the week and working hours are flexible and can be adjusted based on availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans aligned with clinical standards.
• Implement evidence-based physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to facilitate recovery.
• Manage patient care across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, home health visits, and community centers.
• Document all treatment activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through coordinated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, post-treatment care, and strategies to maintain mobility and prevent future injuries.
• Assist in discharge planning by evaluating patient progress and recommending appropriate follow-up care or referrals.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist with practicing in a physical therapy role.
• Proven experience in acute care, inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs across diverse populations including geriatric and pediatric patients.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems for accurate record keeping.
• Experience working with care plans for patient rehabilitation and discharge planning in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their treatment process.
• Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation center operations, home & community care services, trigger point therapy techniques, and orthopedics is highly desirable.

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
