Physical Therapy Technician

We are seeking a energetic physical therapy technician to join our team. You will work closely and under the direct supervision of the physical therapist. Responsibilities

1. Assist therapists with physical setup and observation of daily exercise treatments as per the therapist’s plan of care.

2. Become competent in and set up individuals on various equipment including machine weights and aerobic conditioning as per the therapist’s treatment plan

3. Data entry of various notes, demographic information, patient information, marketing material, etc.

4. Perform various cleanings of the physical therapy area and office area, utilize the cleaning log. Take the initiative to perform various organizational tasks when patient assistance is not needed.

5. Answer phones and take referrals or assist as needed with front desk duties.

6. Work with billing team to ensure patients visits are pre-authorized and approved.

7. Maintain a professional attitude towards patients, doctors, industry reps, case managers, insurance reps, and any other contact of Southern Maryland Medical Group.

Skills

1. Proven working experience as physical therapist Technician.
2. Ability to communicate and instruct effectively.
3. Health care administration and EMR Skills

Experience:

• Physical Therapy Technician: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
