Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and post-treatment cleanup to ensure smooth therapy sessions
• Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques to promote safety and comfort
• Help patients with exercises, mobility activities, and use of therapy equipment under supervision
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment notes, and session details while respecting patient confidentiality
• Prepare treatment areas by organizing supplies and ensuring equipment is sanitized and ready for use
• Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and communicate any concerns or observations to the supervising therapist
• Support rehabilitation care assistance by helping with post-acute care routines, orthopedic recovery exercises, and geriatrics-focused therapies

Requirements

• Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or healthcare support role is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient transfer methods
• Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
• Experience working in hospital or inpatient settings, especially in acute care or post-acute care environments
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required to ensure patient safety at all times
• Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service
• Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques related to orthopedics, geriatrics, and rehabilitation care assistance
• Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality while managing sensitive health information
