Physical Therapy Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our sports healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing exceptional patient care within a sports rehab setting. This role is vital in supporting the rehabilitation process for post op patients, particularly in athletic training/ rehab setting. Shifts include:

Monday 8:00 AM-11:AM, 1:00-3:00 PM

Wednesday 8:00 AM-11:00 AM, 1:00-3:00 PM

Friday 1:00-3:00 (as needed)

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks as directed by the therapist.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
• Document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Document co-payments collected from the patients
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to enhance recovery.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during patient care.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is preferred.
• Experience in patient rehab care settings, particularly in sports medicine or sports background.
• Familiarity with outpatient care practices, especially related to athletes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in patient well-being.
