Duties

• Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and preparation for therapy sessions
• Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations at all times
• Prepare treatment areas, ensure equipment is clean and ready for use, and restock supplies as needed
• Observe and document patient responses during therapy sessions, reporting any concerns to the supervising therapist
• Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all patient interactions, including heavy lifting and post-acute care procedures

Requirements

• Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or inpatient settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation care practices
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, including geriatrics and those in acute or sub-acute care
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required or willing to obtain prior to employment
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with patient transfers in accordance with safety standards
• Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques, post-acute care procedures, and hospital medicine practices preferred
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
