Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient transfers using proper manual handling and transfer methods to ensure safety and comfort.
• Prepare treatment areas by setting up equipment, supplies, and ensuring cleanliness in accordance with health standards.
• Support patients during therapy sessions by providing encouragement, positioning assistance, and monitoring their comfort levels.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to facilitate optimal care delivery.

Requirements

• Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation role is highly preferred.
• Experience with patient service, including geriatrics, inpatient care, post-acute care, or sub-acute care settings.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during patient transfers or equipment setup.
• Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Previous hospital or clinic experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced medical environments.
