Physical Therapy Assistant

Role: Implements physical therapy treatment programs under supervision, serving patients across all ages according to established practices.

Responsibilities:

• Self-assess, seek ongoing education, and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Question logically, analyze data, and develop solutions to problems.
• Assist in student training, complete assessments, and support clinical education.
• Foster teamwork, listen actively, and promote positive relationships.
• Gather data, monitor patient progress, and ensure therapy remains within patient capabilities.
• Prepare documentation, assist with discharge planning, and promote evidence-based practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Preferred: One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
• Current BLS certification; must obtain within 90 days if not already certified.
