Physical Therapy Assistant

We have a full time, benefited position available in our outpatient physical therapy clinic in both Weaverville and Hayfork. Some of the position responsibilities are as follows: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist; uses physical therapy modalities and procedures, as order by the patient’s physician and established in the written plan of care; administers corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients under the direction of a physical therapist who has evaluated the patient and created a plan of care; may administer such treatments as therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, gait training, massage, hot packs, ultrasound, cryotherapy and traction under the supervision of a physical therapist; and follows appropriate documentation procedures. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program and/or has been approved by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee of the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance; demonstrates proficiency in physical therapy care; basic computer knowledge; valid Driver License and a valid BLS Certification. Starting wage is $30/hour, plus benefits.
