Duties

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
• Implement physical therapy treatments such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility.
• Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate care strategies.
• Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, motivate participation, and address concerns.
• Maintain electronic health records (EHR) management by updating medical documentation promptly and accurately.

Requirements

• Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
• Proven experience in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient settings, or home health environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy treatment implementation.
• Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management.
• Ability to operate medical equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Experience with discharge planning processes and working within acute care or outpatient settings is highly desirable.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
