What they need
OIN OUR TEAM!
Are you a Physical Therapist Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the lives of the residents you serve?
We are a small, home-like skilled nursing facility in New Philadelphia, Ohio, where residents are more than a room number and staff are more than a job title.
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
Our smaller environment allows you to know your residents, build relationships with families, work closely with nursing, and truly see the progress your residents make.
If you are looking for a workplace where your clinical skills matter — but compassion, teamwork, and relationships matter just as much — we'd love to meet you!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with each resident's established plan of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized physical therapy treatments to residents.
- Assisting residents with improving strength, balance, endurance, mobility, and functional independence.
- Providing gait and transfer training.
- Working with residents recovering from hospitalization, surgery, illness, injury, falls, and functional decline.
- Helping residents achieve their highest practicable level of independence.
- Building positive relationships with residents and encouraging their participation in therapy.
- Communicating resident progress and concerns with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
- Working closely with nursing and other departments to promote carryover of therapy goals.
- Providing education to residents, families, and caregivers as appropriate.
- Accurately documenting therapy services and resident response.
- Following all applicable facility, state, federal, payer, and professional requirements.
- Maintaining resident dignity, privacy, safety, and confidentiality.
WHY OUR FACILITY IS DIFFERENTA SMALLER, MORE PERSONAL ENVIRONMENT
We believe rehabilitation is about more than completing a treatment session.
It's about knowing who your resident is, what is important to them, and what they want to accomplish.
In our smaller facility, you'll have the opportunity to:
Know your residents.
Build meaningful relationships instead of treating strangers every day.
Work as a team.
Our therapy, nursing, and leadership teams work together to support our residents.
See your impact.
Celebrate the first steps, the successful transfer, the increased strength, and the resident who gets to go home.
Be heard.
We value the ideas and expertise of our employees.
Make a difference.
Your work directly impacts the quality of life of the people who call our facility home.
