Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - PRN

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing mobile outpatient team. In this role, you will work closely with a Physical Therapist to provide one-on-one care to geriatric patients in the comfort of their homes, helping them improve mobility, safety, and independence.

This is a Mobile Outpatient position under Medicare Part B.

This is a PRN position with potential to Part-Time.

Service area: Fairfield County (specific towns discussed during interview).

Compensation:
$45–$50 per hour based on experience, availability, and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient evaluations and functional assessments
• Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises focused on strength, balance, and mobility
• Educate patients and families on safety and home exercise programs
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with geriatric population preferred
• Ability to work independently in a home setting
• Strong clinical documentation skills to support Medicare Part B requirements

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut PTA license
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transportation required
• Professional liability insurance
