Who We Are And What We Do The Southeast Region of the Tennessee Department of Health provides women's health services, as well as primary care services, in the ten-county region surrounding Hamilton County.

Are you interested in public health and being a leader for innovative methods of care? The Tennessee Department of Health Southeast Region is looking for a physician to provide primary care services as well as women's health services in rural county health departments surrounding Hamilton County. Clinics are staffed by both physicians and advanced practice nurses and serve the uninsured population. This position will be based at the Bradley County Health Department in Cleveland, but may work in surrounding county health departments, with travel reimbursement provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care.
• Follow health department guidelines, protocols, and program recommendations.
• Be available to consult with other department staff.
• Provide chart review for APN charts as requested.
• Follow professional development directives from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, including having and maintaining a valid unrestricted medical license.
• Participate in county and regional based activities as requested by county and regional supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid and unrestricted Tennessee medical license.
• MD or DO degree
• Valid DEA license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty such as Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
