Physician Assistant

NeuroSpine Plus, a spine-focused neurosurgical private practice located in various locations throughout New Jersey, is looking to hire an energetic and self-motivated Physician Assistant to join the team. New graduates welcomed to apply.

The candidate’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Independently assess both new and established patients in an outpatient setting
• Perform focused history & physicals
• Discuss and develop appropriate treatment plans with surgeon(s)
• Order appropriate labs/radiology tests/referrals to sub-specialists
• Write pre and post operative documentation within an appropriate time frame after evaluations
• Prescribe medications according to New Jersey and New York State laws, including controlled substances with DEA authorization
• Maintain national and state board certification and licensure
• Maintain annual CME requirement for re-appointment and privileging
• Work collaboratively with the attending physician(s) & PA team to maintain timely and respectful communication
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the appropriate treatment plan of care for our patients
• Assist in surgical cases
• Receive and reply to patient and care team’s questions and requests

The candidate must:

· Possess excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.

· Possess willingness to learn and adapt; able to receive constructive input effectively

· Travel to various locations and surgical facilities to perform daily job responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
• New Jersey Physician Assistant License
• New York Physician Assistant License (willing to obtain)
• New Jersey DEA License
• New Jersey CDS License
• ACLS, BLS
