Physician Assistant – Wound Care

National Wound Care Centers is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Physician Assistant to join our outpatient wound-care team in Marina del Rey, CA.

You will evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary staff, and help deliver evidence-based care in a patient-centered clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations, histories, physical exams, and wound assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision and within scope of practice
• Perform and document wound-care procedures, including debridement when credentialed and authorized
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and referrals
• Prescribe medications and wound-care supplies consistent with applicable laws and clinic protocols
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, nutrition, and follow-up
• Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and coding support
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, case managers, home-health agencies, and specialists
• Follow clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-control standards

Qualifications

• Active California Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA certification
• DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient-education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Wound-care, vascular, surgical, dermatology, podiatry, internal medicine, geriatrics, or family-medicine experience
• Experience with chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure injuries, and post-surgical wound management
• Familiarity with EMR systems and outpatient documentation requirements
