Overview

Balanced Bodies Dawsonville is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate Physician Assistant to join our outpatient wellness team. Our practice focuses on hormone therapy, medical weight management, sexual wellness, and personalized care that helps patients improve their health and quality of life.

Knowledge and clinical experience with hormone replacement therapy are required. The ideal candidate will be confident evaluating hormone-related symptoms, interpreting laboratory results, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring patients throughout treatment. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, including medical history reviews, symptom assessments, and appropriate physical examinations.
• Evaluate and manage male and female hormone replacement therapy, including testosterone therapy and menopausal hormone therapy.
• Order and interpret laboratory testing to guide treatment decisions and monitor patient response and safety.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, laboratory results, and patient goals.
• Provide medical weight management and sexual wellness consultations and follow-up care.
• Prescribe medications within authorized scope of practice and established clinical protocols.
• Educate patients about treatment options, medication administration, potential side effects, storage, and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Provide in-office and telehealth consultations as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the supervising physician, nursing staff, and administrative team to support coordinated care.
• Provide clear clinical guidance to staff and contribute to a supportive, professional work environment.
• Recognize concerns requiring additional evaluation, referral, or escalation to the supervising physician.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Physician Assistant license and current NCCPA certification.
• Required knowledge and clinical experience in hormone replacement therapy, including patient evaluation, laboratory interpretation, treatment management, and ongoing monitoring.
• Experience managing testosterone therapy and female menopausal hormone therapy.
• Strong understanding of hormone physiology, pharmacology, treatment risks, and appropriate patient selection.
• Experience in outpatient care, hormone optimization, wellness medicine, or a related clinical setting.
• Experience with medical weight management and sexual wellness is preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and a commitment to thorough, timely documentation.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Dependability, punctuality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current DEA registration, or ability to obtain it, as applicable to assigned prescribing responsibilities.

Pay: $114,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
