Physician Assistant

Tweedy Medical Group is dedicated to providing a medical home for the ethnically diverse, medically underserved population of South Gate, CA and surrounding areas. The clinic was established in 1942 and acquired by Narciso Azurin, MD in 1983.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a primary care setting, seeing urgent care/sick visits and primary care patients. The provider should be able to deliver quality care following established standards and practices with minimal supervision.

Position: Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Specialty: Family Medicine

Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM

Schedule: Part-time or full-time/flexible

Patient Volume: ~6-8 patients during morning clinic (8AM-10:40AM) and ~6-8 during afternoon clinic (1PM-3:40PM), more or less depending on flow and visit type. Our PA-C/Office Manager triages all incoming appointments and knows the patients well, which keeps scheduling very manageable for our providers.

Location: South Gate, CA (in person)

Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

License: Active California PA or NP license required w/ active DEA

Experience: 1+ year with EMR systems (required)

Education: Master's (preferred)

Compensation: $85/hour or DOE

Service Population:

• Adults: 85% (chronic disease, health maintenance, mental health)

• Pediatrics: 5-10% (well baby/child physicals, vaccine management)

• Women's Health: 5-10% (pap/HPV co-testing, family planning)
