Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (NP/PA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (NP/PA) to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care across diverse settings. Spanish speakers are preferred, and people looking for full-time roles are preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for improving patient outcomes and play a vital role in managing acute and chronic conditions, suturing, splinting and interpreting diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs. Candidate will also conduct school, sports and pre-employment physicals.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Diagnose and treat an array of pediatric and adult illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret indicated diagnostic testing
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Perform required procedures, including suturing and splinting, abscess drainage
• Outstanding bedside manners with children and adults
• Positive energetic attitude towards patients and coworkers
• Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization

Qualifications

• Active Florida medical license. PA-C certification, APRN Certification
• Current active licensure as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida. Experience in a physician office strongly preferred
• Experience: 1+ year preferred
• Language: English (Required) Spanish (Preferred)
• DOT Certification strongly preferred

Availability/Hours

• We have an opening for 1099-contractor for a Full-Time position available currently.
• Hours of operation are M-F 8:00am to 7:00pm (11 hours) and Saturday/Sunday 9:00am-4:00pm (7 hours)
• Candidates will need to work minimum two rotating weekends a month (full-time position)
• Flexible hours depending on other provider availability

Pay

• $56 to $70 an hour (based on experience and qualifications)

License/Certifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner
• PA-C Certification

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure and DEA registration for prescribing medications
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments effectively

Pay: $56.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 44.0 per week
