About the role

The primary role of the physician is to conduct standard medical examinations for student drivers and license renewal applicants to ensure they meet the physical and mental fitness requirements mandated by the LTO. You will be responsible for accurately assessing applicants and seamlessly encoding medical certificates through the LTMS portal.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on driver's license applicants, assessing vital signs, visual acuity, color blindness, hearing, and overall physical and mental mobility
• Determine the applicant's medical fitness to drive based strictly on current LTO standards and guidelines
• Accurately encode, process, and issue electronic Medical Certificates in real-time using the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) portal
• Maintain strict confidentiality and proper documentation of all patient records and medical evaluations in compliance with the Data Privacy Act
• Provide a professional, efficient, and comfortable environment for all applicants undergoing medical screening
• Work closely with the driving academy's administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations and timely processing of student requirements

About you

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution
• Valid and active PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) License
• Must possess an active and valid LTO Accreditation as a Medical Practitioner
• Proficient in using computers and navigating the LTO LTMS portal
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
• Previous experience in an LTO-accredited medical clinic or occupational health setting is highly preferred but not required
