Physician - Medical Marijuana

Auren, LLC, also known as Iowa Marijuana Card, is seeking a licensed Iowa Physician to provide telehealth‑only medical cannabis evaluations for patients seeking certification under Iowa’s Medical Cannabidiol Program. This role is ideal for physicians who value flexibility, autonomy, and a streamlined remote workflow while delivering compliant, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Telehealth Evaluations — Conduct virtual assessments to determine patient eligibility for medical cannabidiol certification.
• Clinical Recommendations — Issue compliant medical cannabidiol certifications for qualifying patients.
• EMR Documentation — Complete accurate, legally compliant charting within our telehealth platform.
• Patient Education — Provide guidance on therapeutic use, dosing considerations, and safety.
• Care Coordination — Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless patient flow and follow‑up.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa MD or DO license in good standing
• Comfortable practicing exclusively via telehealth
• Experience in primary care, pain management, psychiatry, neurology, or similar fields preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑centered approach
• Commitment to compliance with Iowa’s Medical Cannabidiol Program regulations
