PHYSICIAN RELATIONS ASSOCIATE

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Physician Relations Associate who will support the Physician Relations team in managing physician-related activities, regulatory requirements, healthcare projects, and administrative coordination.

The role also supports PhilHealth/Konsulta operations, including patient eligibility verification, claims-related processes, billing and coding, and coordination with healthcare providers and the PhilHealth Konsulta team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Physician Relations

• Support the Physician Relations Manager in complying with regulatory, safety, and reporting requirements related to physicians.
• Assist in preparing promotional materials for pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and other healthcare products in accordance with regulatory requirements and applicable standards.
• Assist in developing modules and materials for departmental learning initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison and communication channel between management and administrative staff.
• Help address medical-administrative concerns and maintain effective communication with staff.
• Perform other duties necessary for the effective performance of the role.

PhilHealth Officer / Konsulta

• Verify PhilKonsulta-registered patients through the IHCP website based on monthly reports submitted by nurses.
• Facilitate SAP generation for the first tranche and ensure proper charging to PhilHealth.
• Coordinate with the PhilHealth Konsulta team.
• Facilitate the charging of registered PhilKonsulta patients through BizBox.
• Accurately code and bill medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of billing information.
• Handle patient and physician inquiries concerning billing and coding concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from a reputable school.
• Preferably with 2–3 years of relevant work experience in the healthcare industry.
• ICD-10 Certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.
• Computer literate, with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Able to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Demonstrates leadership potential and sound decision-making abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Results-oriented and capable of working under pressure.
• Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Approachable, conversant, and tactful when dealing with patients.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Willing to continuously develop professionally and personally through training.
• Positive attitude toward work, colleagues, superiors, and the organization.
