Physicist - Radiation Oncology Associate - Full Time Days

Role Overview: This position involves ensuring the quality and safety of radiation therapy treatments within a Radiation Oncology department.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the operation, calibration, and quality assurance of radiation therapy equipment.
• Performing routine and specialized dosimetry, chart checks, and treatment planning support.
• Recommending radiation safety procedures and educating staff on radiation protection practices.
• Participating in equipment QA, including VMAT/IMRT plans, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Supporting the Radiation Safety Program and maintaining proper documentation.
• Providing staff and physician education on radiation safety and brachytherapy care.
• Performing other duties as assigned to ensure departmental efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in Radiation Therapy.
• ABR certification or eligibility, with Medical Physicist certification within 120 days.
• Proficiency in radiation physics concepts, strong judgment, creativity, and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a positive attitude aligned with organizational standards.
